Innate Capital Partners invests the personal capital of Aamir A. Rehman, Ed.D.

Aamir A. Rehman has been engaged in values-aligned investment for over two decades. He has served the finance community as an investor, advisor, author, and educator.
 
Dr. Rehman’s portfolio includes Limited Partner investments in private capital funds across a range of asset classes and stages. His investments include positions in buyout, secondaries, growth, venture capital, and public markets funds. 
 
Dr. Rehman is also a direct investor in over 10 companies, largely in financial services ventures. He seeks to invest in and support enterprises that help people align their finances with their values.
 
Dr. Rehman’s board affiliations include Stearns Salaam Banking and Fajr Capital Advisors. He is a board member of PwrQ and a board observer of Nuvem Health, both of which are private-equity backed companies. He is Chair of the Limited Partners Advisory Committee (LPAC) of Mindshift Capital and a board member of Shukr Investments. 
 
Dr. Rehman was a co-founder and managing director at Fajr Capital, a private equity group that has successfully invested over $700 million in investments. He earlier served as head of strategy for HSBC Amanah, the global Islamic finance business of the HSBC Group, and as a consultant with the Boston Consulting Group.
 
Dr. Rehman is a trustee of Mercer County Community College (New Jersey) and also a trustee of Rutgers Preparatory School. 
 
In addition to his work in investments, Dr. Rehman has served as a senior advisor on Islamic finance to the United Nations Development Programme. He has also consulted the World Bank Group on the impact of Islamic finance on development and financial inclusion.
 
An adjunct faculty member at Columbia Business School, Dr. Rehman has taught private equity to over 500 MBA and executive MBA students. He is also a Senior Fellow at the Richman Center for Business, Law, and Public Policy at Columbia University. 
 
His doctoral dissertation at Columbia University examined how private equity professionals learn from experience. Dr. Rehman is author of the books Gulf Capital and Islamic Finance: The Rise of the New Global Players (McGraw-Hill, 2009) and Dubai & Co.: Global Strategies for Doing Business in the Gulf States (McGraw-Hill, 2007), amongst other publications.
 
Dr. Rehman hold a bachelor’s degree from Harvard College, a master’s degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, and an MBA from the Harvard Business School. He further holds a doctoral degree in education (Ed.D.) from Columbia University.
 
 

In her role as Chief Financial Officer for Innate Capital Partners (Innate), Eaman Shebley, CPA, brings over two decades of individual and business consulting experience through public accounting, focusing on strategic development and corporate finance.

Eaman’s areas of focus at Innate include capital investment strategies, planning and compliance, supporting portfolio companies’ finance functions, and partner relations with key stakeholders.

Growing up in a community led by small business owners, Eaman’s journey into the financial domain began with a belief in the transformative potential of finance in corporate and entrepreneurial organizations, and a desire to harness its power for social impact.

Eaman’s tenure as a public accountant laid the groundwork for her future as a financial luminary, equipping her with the expertise and vision to excel. Driven by her passion for developing and managing values-driven organizations, well-aligned with Innate’s mission and goals, Eaman has dedicated her career to aligning financial strategies with organizational principles. Her focus on ensuring compliance guides companies towards sustainable growth.

Eaman’s passion extends to a personal mission to enhance financial literacy, particularly for women. As a dedicated advocate for women’s empowerment, she provides financial literacy programs in her local community. She believes in the power of equitable change through empowering women to take charge of their own economic success.

When not serving as CFO or engaging in community service, Eaman draws inspiration from and loves spending time with her husband and four children in the suburbs of Chicago, participating in various outdoor and athletic activities.

Eaman is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with prior accreditation as a federal Enrolled Agent licensed by the IRS. She is currently pursuing certifications in Islamic Finance and is enrolled in the Chief Financial Officer Program at Columbia Business School Executive Education. She holds a Master’s degree in Accounting and Financial Management from Keller Graduate School of Management and an undergraduate degree in Accounting Information Systems. Additionally, she is an active member of the AICPA, the Illinois CPA Society, and the National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP).
